Architecture and art supply and infiltrate each other. Without affection of the beauty of architecture, there won't be perfect and unique appearance of architecture, which makes architects have to study art in order to unify architecture and art perfectly. In fact, architecture itself is an artwork, especially a tridimensional artwork, magnified and made of free space.For a long time, as the culture and the skill that architecture designers must have, art become a significant basic curriculum of major in architecture. If a student desires to have the ability of abstract thinking in architectural design, he or she must learn many kinds of basic art curriculum and take trainings to have definite culture of art step by step. It is difficult for a man without high culture of art to be an outstanding architect and designer. For the reasons mentioned above, the basic education of architecture art has its own particularity, of which the content and the objective make it different from other art universities and colleges. The objective and the task of it is to cultivate the students to have the abilities of creative thinking, and to solve the problems of representing skills in the architecture and aesthetic feeling of architectural design. It is noticeable that because of the development of times daily advanced architectural material and technology, and all kinds of architectural style make us update and enrich the content of the basic teaching of architecture art. On the teaching method, there must be new exploration and attempt. And we must pay attention to cultivating students'abilities of creative thinking. We must let students know more about history of art and architecture, and get to artworks to open their eyes and improve their appreciation ability. For it is one of the important conditions to enrich students'creative thinking and make it develop to higher levels step by step. Architecture art emphasize tridimensional artwork, mostly illuminating and cultivating students'space imagination and creativity. Painting, as an accessorial method to express their design idea, significantly cultivates students to creat formal beauty of cubic space in order to develop their design ability of space model.The author has been engaging in art basic teaching in senior vocational colleges for more than ten years, and has been researching on the problems that art basic teaching faces. First of all, this thesis analyzes the teaching pattern, teaching content, teaching method and students'condition of art basic education in senior vocational architecture major, and anatomizes and researches on the actuality of senior vocational art basic teaching, the existing problems and the teaching content of art basic curriculum, which expounds from the teaching content and teaching method of pencil sketch, literary sketch and color sketch. Then in the aspect of the application of teaching method, the thesis analyzes the teaching method of centralized teaching and interactional teaching, and expounds its function of promoting teaching. All in all, art basic teaching in senior vocational colleges should meet the needs of the development of architectural design in new terms. We must strengthen students'aesthetic ability, creative ability and integrated explorative ability, and carry out the education reform of teaching pattern, teaching method and teaching content to improve teaching quality step by step. In the teaching, we should bring painting its own advantages into play, enlarge students'knowledge field, and strengthen art basic teaching and skill training so as to make art teaching meet the needs of the society and even the needs of the market.
