Along with the deepening of electric power system reform and the development of the market in China, it is a very urgent affair to improve the power generation enterprise's competitiveness by improving performances and economic index of unit, strengthening the transformation of the apparatus of boilers. Nowadays, domestic and international experts and scholars have put forward various new theories and control strategies to the optimizing combustion control of boilers. Although it has made some achievements, there are still some shortcomings, and the optimizing control of boiler is still at a tentative stage. The boiler efficiency will reduce because in working condition combustion rate often changes and result in instability of combustion and fluctuating of boiler's parameters. So, research on the best parameter which can successfully reflect the relationship of combustion rate and the state of combustion is the key to optimizing combustion control system.According to the characteristics of the 300WM once-through boiler of Yaomeng Power Plant Co.Ltd, the latest research results of optimizing combustion control based on visual monitoring of boiler have been put into the control system of once-through boiler, in order to the optimizing combustion control of boilers and the self-optimizing control of oxygen. The total air rate is the most important parameter because it can directly infect the economic and safe operation of the boiler, the stream parameter as well as the NO X emission, and the boiler's max efficiency always along with the max radiation energy signal and correspond to the optimal air-coal ratio and oxygen. This method is approved apparently economical and practical. The fuel-water ratio is the prominent features of once-through boiler control system. Three imports and one export mathematical model is established to analyze feedwater control system. The radiant energy signal as the forward-feed controlling method could improve the control quality of fuel-water ratio and practicability and the superiority is approved by the SIMULINK simulation results of intermediate point control.The real application result shows the advantage and practicability of this technique, and it also provides a workable design method of control system for super pressure unit.
