Distributed Energy System (DES) is different from traditional power supply system. It can independently produce power, cool and (or) heat, which is set just besides the building. Now, the most popular DESs are those high-efficient, environment-friendly Combined Cooling, Heating and Power (CCHP) systems, which will be properly composed of different power devices consumed liquid fuel or gas, such as internal-combustion engine, gas turbine, fuel cells, heat recover boiler, steam turbine or lithium bromide chiller/heater.Bio-gas using DES is a new system that is fueled with biomass and with internal-combustion engine or gas turbine as the prime motor. This system has great potential in development, because the whole reserves of the biomass resource is large and the distribution is dispersive which is not suitable for long distance transportation and thus it is in reason to use biomass for the DES. With the research and development of the new type technology of the biomass energy and completion of relevant favourable policies, the commercialization process of the bio-gas using DES will speed step by step and the reliability and economy of the technology will strengthen constantly, so it has good market prospect and well social comprehensive benefit.This paper has introduced a kind of CCHP system fueled biomass gas, with internal-combustion engine as prime motor. After some research in its working process of CCHP system, the control system has been designed including Single Chip Microcomputer (SCM), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Industrial Personal Computer (IPC). In the control system, PLC or SCM is responsible for the lowest layer control, such as collecting data, and executing control commands. IPC is in charge of real-time monitor and control, to achieve security, stability, ease of management and modernization. The whole system has been established preliminary and the test of the running in Shanghai Sifang Boiler factory.The successful application of the control system based on the SCM, PLC and IPC will enhance the automation level of the system and also improve the maintenance efficiency of the system. At the same time, it can speed the generalization of the bio-gas using DES in our country, enhance the comprehensive using efficiency of the resource in our country and thus play a important role in prompting the high-speed, good and harmonious development of the economy and environment and also in establishing a environment-protecting and economical society.
