In order to maintain normal operation of airport, management department has to maintain and ensure functional aspect and structural aspect of pavement in the airport.Along with the growing aviatic operations, civil airports have to spend more manpower, money and time on the conservation and management of the pavement, a well-functioning airport pavement management system (APMS) can significantly improve the management of airport pavement, completely changed airport pavement management techniques and management methods. In the pavement management system, pavement performance evaluation and pavement performance prediction model are very important component.A rudiment of the airport pavement performance evaluation and prediction model is proposed in combination with the actual needs of the airport, and the connotation of pavement performance and the essential content of performance evaluation are systematically expatiated, to determine characterization of the various pavement performance indexes, with the corresponding evaluation methods and evaluation criteria, and to build the airport pavement performance grey cluster comprehensive evaluation model. Prediction models of Pavement Condition Index, friction coefficient and roughness are made, which is based on disintegration theory and related factors of pavement performance model discussed in detail. Based on the reversed design evaluation method and the principle of fatigue consumption method, two prediction models of residual service life for rigid pavemen are respectively made, and LEDFAA, which is a FAA calculation procedure for predicting remaining pavement service life, is also studied. Improving the predicting accuracy of the remaining service life of airport flexible pavement, particularly runway, is of great significance for the safety and decision-making of pavement maintenance and overhaul. Based on the new CBR equation from FAA recent studies, the calculation method for predicting remaining flexible pavement service life of civil airport is improved, and the calculation model and calculation steps are also given. With respect to the fleet mix including A380, a calculation of the flexible pavement remaining service life is demonstrated. Finally, the application of grey theory in residual service life prediction is studied.
