This paper is concerning the numerical calculation on TBD234V12 diesel engine fuel oil injection system with HYDSIM software. The emphasis is the detailed comparative analysis made to such key factors as quantity of injection holes, diameter of injection hole, diameter of fuel injection pipe, length of fuel injection pipe, plunger effective stroke, cam form line, etc. Through the overall analysis with the calculation results, the author found out some critical data influencing the performance of the diesel engine fuel oil injection system and knew their influence to important parameters like needle lift, law of spraying oil. accumulated spaying amount, etc. On the basis, the author proposed an improvement scheme for TBD234V12 diesel engine fuel oil injection system without change of its overall structure to optimize its main performance parameters.The analog computation results prove that the design method adopted in this paper is feasible and the adopted mathematical model and method of computation are correct. The optimized fuel oil injection system performs better than before, reducing the occurrence rate of secondary injection, raising the oil spraying velocity, reducing the Hertz contact stress of oil pump cam and the impact and vibration of movable pieces, increasing the service life. Therefore, the goal of optimizing TBD234V12 diesel engine fuel oil injection system has been achieved.
