MicroChannel evaporator is a new type heat sink. With the rapid development of microelectronics, aerospace thermal control and MEMS,more and more researchers have paid attention to this study in recent years. The heat transfer properties and the pressure drop within the micro-channel must be predicted accurately before the design of a microchannel heat sink. However,for the complexity of flow and heat transfer mechanism within microchannel, the current study on the micro-channel flow boiling heat transfer is still in the beginning. Scholars show different results about this study. There are many restrictions in the application of the current correlation.In order to get a widely used correlation, a lot of experiments should be taken to obtain reliable experimental data.Taking the experimental experience of other scholars into account, a brand experimental platform is designed in the research. Water is used as the working fluid in the experiment and the mass flow rate range from 11.06 to 242.61 kg/m~2s. Two sets of channel are applied which hydraulic diameter of 293.3μm and 1183.7μm respectively and the two heat sink have the same total heat transfer area, the heat flux range from 7 to 70W/cm~2. The initial law of the micro-channel pressure drop and heat transfer properties is concluded after analysing the experimental data obtained in the experiment. The experimental data are compared with the current experimental prediction models such as Kandlikar, Mudawar, Lee & Lee model. During the experimental process, some experiences of such experiments are summed up for the further experimental study of such problems.
