Compared to other types of internal combustion engines,diesel engines are more fuel-efficient,providing higher torque and pulling capability,and also are lower emitters of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.Diesel engines are widely used in most kinds of mechanical equipments because of it is well dynamical,economical and reliable,especially in vehicle power.However,diesel engines can emit up to 30 times more particulate matter(PM) than gasoline engines.PM is one of the main diesel engine exhaust components,harmful to the human health,has aroused various countries government's attention and set down strict diesel engine emission regulations.Nowadays,the emission control technology of PM has become one of cores in diesel engine technological research,especially the research of exhausts post-processing technology.The paper introduced the main exhaust control technologies of inside and outside diesel engine.Drawing the conclusion that diesel particulate filter(DPF) technology is the most effective control technology of PM by contrasting and analyzing many kinds of technologies,and the regeneration technology of DPF is the key condition whether it can be applied successfully or not.At the same time,the paper studied the formation mechanism of PM,the physical property and the exhaust rule of PM, simultaneously,discussed the trapping mechanism of DPF,the filter materials characteristics and research situation,as well as regeneration technologies.The paper designed two different kinds of DPF systems;the material of the first kind of filter is metallic fiber.Take the SOFIM8140.27 diesel engine as research object;additive is put into diesel oil.At the beginning we hope the regeneration system can regenerate automatically when the exhaust press and temperature reach prospective value.As the restrict of experiment's condition,exhaust press can't reach prospective value, imperative regeneration is taken by increase the load of diesel engine.Although the effect of regeneration is not very good,the active effect of additive that can shorten the time of regeneration and increase the stability of regeneration is proved.The material of the second kind is SiC wall-flow filter,the filter has two channels. Additive and auxiliary combustion by fuel injection technology are combined in the experiment;fresh air is supplied when necessary.Take the YN4100QB-1A diesel engine as research object,No.3 national diesel oil which has or has not additive are both used in the experiment,experiment is carried under different oil flux,some useful experiences and conclusions are get from the experiment as follows:the auxiliary combustion by fuel injection regeneration system which can match the high content Sulfur oil is reliable;the active of additive can reduce the ignite temperature of PM,accelerate the velocity of PM's combustion and shorten the time of regeneration;Oil flux has some effect on regeneration during certain scope,increase oil flux can accelerate the velocity of regeneration,raise the temperature of the exhaust gas more rapidly at initial stage,so it can shorten the time of regeneration.To contrast the two kinds of regeneration systems,we conclude that the second kind of DPF regeneration system is more reliable and applicable;the system can be generalized when it is more perfected.
