As a clean and renewable energy, the wind power has gotten a quick development and become one of the most promising new energies. The wind power system divides into small-scale system and large-scale system according to its capacity and stand-alone system and grid-connected systemBased on the current status and foreground of wind power system and wind power industrial home and abroad, the total system framework of wind power system and the types of the wind turbine and the sorts of the generation system are researched.The simulation models of wind turbine and permanent-magnetic synchronous generator are made based on their mathematic models by the studies of the characteristics of wind turbine and generator. Then using the simulation models of wind turbine and generator, the models of the overall wind power grid-connected systems using voltage-source inverter and current-source inverter are made. The grid-connected inverter including voltage-source inverter and current-source inverter is the key part in wind power grid-connected system. A method of the three phase voltage-source inverter connecting to the grid is studied, which consists of space vector pulse width modulation and phase-locking method. Besides the space vector modulation strategy of the PWM current-source rectifier and three kinds of pulse modulation methods of PWM current-source inverter are researched in grid-connected wind power system using current-source inverter.The boost converter is used to keep the voltage of the input of the inverter constant in the overall simulation model of the single wind power grid-connected system, voltage-source inverter adopting the SPWM control method is also used to link the wind power system with the grid. In the overall simulation model of current- source inverter grid-connected wind power system, the PWM rectifier adopting SVPWM strategy and current-source inverter using SPWM strategy are used. All control methods adopted in paper are validated by simulation based on the overall wind power grid-connected system using voltage-source inverter and current-source inverter, and also the disadvantages and advantages of the two kinds of grid-connected system are compared, in the end the differences between the voltage-source inverter and the current- source inverter are summarized.
