The numerical simulation of the 35t/h boiler's combustion process and NOx emission characteristic carries on situations which use the exhaust gas recycle and does not use the exhaust gas recycle. During simulation the major technical problems are solved such as: the simulated flue gas recirculation and coal movement on chain. The computed result indicated that, the exhaust gas recycle boiler, compared with the conventional boiler, the distribution of average temperature obviously reduces in exhaust gas recycle boiler, and the density of CO2 had risen and O2 had dropped slightly. Simultaneously the emission of NO had larger scale reduced, and the reducing is overall decline in uniform rather than the decline in local area. Based on the different rates of flue gas recirculation in this article, when the rate of exhaust gas recycle is 25%-30%, could get best optimization programme of NOX emissions, and it has important theory significance and the practical application value to enhance the NOx emissions of small and medium-sized coal-fired boilers.
