Distributed Energy System(DES)using gasified biomass fuel is a new system that is fueled with internal combustion engine or gas turbine as the prime motor. This system has great potential in development, because the whole reserves of the biomass resource is large and the distribution is dispersive which is not suitable for long distance transportation and thus it is in reason to use biomass for the DES. With the research and development of the new type technology of the biomass energy and completion of relevant favourable policies, the commercialization process of the gasified biomass fuel using DES will speed step by step and the reliability and economy of the technology will strengthen constantly, so it has good market prospect and well social comprehensive benefit.This paper is to study the characteristics of micro gas turbine(MGT) when they use gasified biomass fuel.Firstly, this paper studied the combustor characteristic of MGT when they use gasified biomass fuel. A 30kW classic MGT combustor was designed in this paper. CFD software FLUENT was used to compare the different characteristics of combustor with the natural gas and gasified biomass fuel. Because heat value and combustible components of gasified biomass fuel are different from the natural gas, they must have some influence on the performances of MGT. The impacts of internal flow field, temperature field and NOx emission rate when gasified biomass fuels were used in MGT combustor were described and the reason was analyzed in this paper. Then some suggestions were provided to improve the performances of combustor.Secondly, this paper calculated the steady thermodynamic cycle of MGT system for gasified biomass fuel and analyzed the impacts of the composition of gasified biomass fuel for thermodynamic cycle .Finally, this paper studied the characteristics of MGT system for gasified biomass fuel. Modularization model building method was introduced to disassemble the each unit of MGT, then stimulating models were built respectively. All models were connected to liquid net according to real system configuration. Based on the whole system's model, the characteristics of MGT system for gasified biomass fuel were mastered, and some regulations were proposed to adjust the variation of characteristics.To sum up, this paper studied the modeling and control strategy on MGT system for gaified biomass fuel. These works laid the foundation for further study and will promote DESs to play an important role in China.
