A pulse tube refrigerator driven by a thermoacoustic engine is a new type of cooler, which use the power from thermoacoustic engine that based on the thermoacoustic effect. It has many advantages such as no moving parts,no pollution, reliablity, so more and more scientists lay more emphsis on it.The present thesis recalls the research background and development of thermoacoustic engine and pulse tube refrigerator firstly, later introduces the use of thermoacoustic engine. The differences between standing-wave and traveling-wave sound field are analysed in details, in addition the linear thermoacoustic theory, nonlinear thermoacoustic theory and thermoacoustic fluid network theory are also introduced. Finally, some typical pulse tube refrigerator theory is described.Introduction of the thermoacoustic engine which our laboratory already have.Design and installation of a pulse tube refrigerator matching with it.The frequency characteristic of resonance empty tube is calculated by DeltaE, the result compared with that from theorical formula was made. Calculate the effect on amplifying pressure amplitude of the resonance tube, design two kinds of resonance tube under different frequency based on the simulate results: 47 Hz, the length of resonance tube 1.9m, radius 100mm, end tube length 1m, radius 180mm; 83 Hz, the length of resonance tube 1.1m, radius 100mm, end tube length 0.3m, radius 180mm.Introduction of the theory of H.von resonator, calculation of the effect on amplifying pressure amplitude of the H.von resonator under different radius and different resonator volume, and a H.von resonator was also designed. Finally, the summarization and expectation is given.
