The development requirements of Large-scale, clean, high efficient utilization of biomass is expected to enable the co-firing coal and biomass in large capacity, high parameter pulverized coal boiler as a feasible way. Based on three aspects of practical engineering, theoretical calculation and laboratory tests, co-firing coal and biomass is analyzed. Crushing, conveying and combustion systems of co-firing biomass are introduced in a domestic 300MW pulverized coal boiler, And the influences of co-firing rice husk and coal in this pulverized coal boiler on boiler thermal efficiency are calculated and analyzed. The influences of blending ratio and excess air ratio on the emission behaviors of NOx, SO2 are carried out in a high temperature entrained-flow tube reactor; The experimental study on the combustion characteristics of co-firing coal and biomass is made using thermogravimetric analysis. The results can provide technology and data support for co-firing coal and biomass in large-scale power plants.
