Urea prilling tower is an important chemical equipment composed of circular cylinder and stairs area with few layers setted floor slab, so it is a very particular structure. But the research on urea prilling tower is very little because it is only used in chemical field.Recently following the development of our country's economy, much attention has been paid to urea prilling tower, therefore, the research on it's performance is very important. In this thesis, finite element software is used to analyze the performance of two kinds of urea prilling tower. The main content of this paper including:1. Establish the steel frame urea prilling tower model and the reinforced concrete shear wall urea prilling tower model in seven intensity protection area based on representative wind load, then analyze it's performance under static process.2. Consider the thermal effects of structure and then impose it to urea prilling tower. Performance of the structure under temperature load is calculated by SAP2000 and the soft underbelly of structure under temperture loads is pointed out so as to provide reference for structure design.3. The urea prilling tower is high with small dimension and big aspect ratio,in order to guarantee the stability of the structure , the urea prilling tower is analysed under linear and nonlinear stability conditions.4. The nonlinear dynamic time history analysis of urea prilling tower is carried out by SAP2000 and PERFORM-3D, the structure and the components'performance is checked under the dynamic load, hoping the result can provide reference for structure design.Based on Summarying the results of above analysis, it can be concluded that the urea prilling tower designed according to our country's standards can satisfy the demand of various loads , the structure is safe and reliable.
