Study On The Resources Rurveys And Palynology Analysis Of Partial Nelumbo Nucifera

Lotus is one of Chinese traditional ornamental flowers of the top 10,widely spread over China and have rich resources in China.Henan province has abundant local resources and cultivated varieties because of the special geographical environment and the complicated Environmental factors such as temperature, soil and climate. In this paper,in order to find out about the species,resource distributions, population hereditary constitution in henan province,the field investigation to the heann indigenous Lotus resources and some fancy lotus species in Wuhan Botanical Garden was carried out,which were classified by binary classification and pollen morphology analysis,and hereditary constitution of lotus population,the main results are as follows.1.The biological characters of lotus species were investigated based on the quantity,scale,ecological habit and distribution of the cultivars and the following 11 quantitative characters and 9 qualitative characters:flower size,petal number,stamens number,standing leaves size,petioles,standing leaves height,leaf size,leaf venation number and petal size;Quantitative charactersincl including type of flower, flower colour,petioles spur colour,petioles connection colour,flower bud shape,carpel,petal shape,flower shape and flower bud colour.2.The binary classification Results show,Large plant size type Chinese lotus species constintution include seven few-petalled group red-lotus form (Kouma Honglian, Zhangcun Honglian,Baqian Honglian,Huzu Honglian,Huaiyang Honglian,Qisi Honglian,Mingang Honglian),eight few-petalled group white-lotus form(Zhangcun Bailian, Kouma Bailian,Puyang Bailian,Shangqiu Bailian,Liangting Bailian,Huaiyang Bailian,Liuzhuang Bailian,Dudian Bailian),one double-petalled group versicolor-lotus form(Matang Bailian);Medium-small plant size type Chinese lotus species constintution include two few-petalled group red-lotus form(Xixiangfeng,Yanyangtian), one few-petalled group white-lotus form(Bai Yu),two double-petalled group pink-lotus form(Qiushui Changtian,Chunhui ) ,two semidouble-petalled group white-lotus form( Baixue Gongzu),one double-petalled group red-lotus form(Fenloutai),one duplicate-petalled group white-lotus form(Xiao Bitai).Sino-American hybrids species constitution include one large plant size type Few-petalled group Yellow-lotus form(Jianwu) and one medium-small plant size type few-petalled group versicolor-lotus form(Die Lian Hua).3.26 lotus species Show a general character on pollen morphology.All the species are big heterospolar pollen with oblate spheroidal oblate spheroidal and 3-labed—rounded in polar view.The pollen grains have three germinal furrows which belong to N3P4C5 stye.The pollens exine sculptures are striatum,which are ribbon pattern and Uneven thickness.The germinal furrow are spindle-shaped,in whihc to cover dense granule,the granule always stick up in equatorial axis.These semblable characters of pollen morphology,Germinal furrow and exine sculpture support in the homogeneity of lotus species in the traditional classification.4.The results of Main Component Analysis showed that the importance ranking of the criteria is following:polar axis length,volpme index,equatorial axis length,distance of lirae,germinal furrow length,germinal furrow width,P/E value,lirae width,L/P value,germinater character,style of exine ornamentation,shapes in polar view.The general important characteristics are pollen size,pollens shapes,germinater character and style of exine ornamentation.5.The observed lotus species could be divided into four main categories when the coefficient of genetic similarity was 5.35. The categoryone includes Kouma Honglian,Huzu Honglian,Qisi Honglian,Mingang Honglian,Zhangcun Bailian,Kouma Bailian,Liangting Bailian,Dudian Bailian,Fenloutai;The categorytwo includes Baqian Honglian,Huaiyang Honglian,Zhangcun Honglian,Puyang Bailian,Cunhui;The categorythree includes Shangqiu Bailian,Huaiyang Bailian,Liuzhuang Bailian,Jianwu,Xixiangfeng,Qiushui Changtian,Xiao Bitai,Dielianhua;The categoryfour includes Matang Bailian,Yanyangtian,Baiyu,Baixue Gongzu.
