Object i ye: to study the effects of arsenic trioxide (As203) on inhibiting the proliferation of hepatic carcinoma and inducing the apoptosis of hepatic carcinoma. Methods: to detect the inhibiting rate of As203 on hepatic carcinoma cell lines BEL-7404 and SMMC-772 1 by using MiT assay, to detect the apoptosis index (Al) and proliferation cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)-positive nuclei cell index (P1) of the As203-treated nude mice transplants of hepatic 2 carcinoma by using the TUNEL detection and SABC method , to detect the side effect of bone marrow inhibition of As203 by counting the peripheral blood WBC and by bone marrow smear.
