Objective:To explore the pathogenesis and examine the expression of oncogene bcl-2,p53 on hepatoblastoma. Methods: Streptavidin-preroxidose (S-P) immunohistocheniical techniques were used to study the expression of bcl-2 and p53 in 26 cases of hepatoblastoma and 10 cases of nomul liver tissue in children. The percentage of positive cells [P/A(%)] ~ average optical density(AOD) volume integrated optical density(VIOD) were assessed by image analyser. All data were tested by Fisher抯 Exact test or M-W test from SPSS 8.0 for windows. Results:The positive rates of P53 expression on hepatoblastoma was 69.2% while on normal liver tissue it was zero respectively (PK0.O1) ,and there was no expression of Bcl-2 in both hepatoblastoma and normal liver .The positive level of P53 expression was upgrading of clinical stage of hepatoblastoma ( PKO.01 ) ,and it was higher in embryonal type hepatoblastoma than in fetal type hepatoblastoma (P
