And to search for convenient, swift and exact determination index for diagnosing and therapeusing gastric cancer patients. Methods: We detected IL-6 levels in 30 gastric cancers sera and IL-6 and IL-6R levels in 30 gastric cancers and their surrounding tissues on semi-qualitative and parallel bases by ELISA.At the same time, the expression of PCNA of 30 gastric carcinoma was studied by means of immunohistochemical technique. Moreover,it was synthetically analyzed that the correlated significance between IL-6,IL-6R,PCNA and the clinicopathologic finds of gastric cancers. Results:The level of IL-6 in sera of gastric cancers was 12 1.7±5.72 while the level of IL-6 in the normal controls was 31.0±3.02,the difference between them was distinct ( P < 0.01 ) ; After operation, the level of IL-6 in sera of gastric cancers was 80.0±4.37,which had distinct difference contrasted with preoperative level ( P< 0.01 ); the IL-6 level in gastric cancer tissues was 3265.51±187.1 while the IL-6 level in paracancer6JL-6~ IL-6R~PCNA~~~tissues was 619.53±53.56, which showed a distinct difference between them (P<0.01); In 30 gastric cancer tissues, the IL-6R level was 79.48 ±2.94 while that was 53.74±2.43 in paracancer tissues, which showed a notable difference between them (P <0.01).The levels of IL-6 in sera of gastric cancers had significantcorrelation with those in tissues of gastric cancers (r=0.853, P<0.01); but the levels of IL-6 in tissues of gastric cancers hadmiddling correlation with those of IL-6R (r=0.448, P<0.05)The IL-6 and IL-6R levels in sera with lymph node metastases ,infiltrated in muscular layer and serosal layer, clinically advanced were obviously higher than those with no lymph node metastases, infiltrated in mucosa and submucosa layer, clinically earlier stage (P< 0.01 ) . The IL-6 levels in gastric cancer tissues with bigger tumor (直径>5cm)were significantly higher than those with smaller tumor(直径≤5cm) (P< 0.01) .But both levels had no relation with the gastric carcinoma differention. The PCNALI was between 17.8% and 72.9% in 30 cases of gastric carcinoma, the mean was 51.79%± 16.10%. PCNALI was significantly higher in the cases of stage JIIand IV than in those of stage I and II ( P< 0.01) .And PCNALI was significantly high in the cases with the diameter≥ 3cm,with lymph node metastases and with seroma invasion(P< 0.0 1). But it had no relationship with the gastric carcinoma differention. The levels of IL-6 in gastric cancer tissues had significant7IL-6. JL-6R~PCNA~~~correlation with PCNALI in gastric cancer tissues (r=O.757, P< 0.01); the levels of IL-6 in sera of gastric cancers had significant correlation with PCNALI in gastric cancer tissues (r=0.756, P< 0.01)Conclusions:The level of IL-6 in sera gastric cancer patients was obviously high and the levels of IL-6,IL-6R and PCNA in the tissues of gastric cancer were obviously high. And the levels were correlated with the clinicopathologic finds of gastric cancer. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between the level of serum IL-6 and that of cancer tissues, between the serum IL-6 and PCNALJ,between the tissue IL-6 and PCNALI.Therefore,IL-6 and PCNA are the important factors which affect the malignant degree of gastric cancer cell ,infiltration and metastasis of gastric cancer. The determination of IL-6 and PCNA is of benefit in making diagnosis and giving treatment to gastric cancer patients and in judging the occurrence, expansion and prognosis of gastric cancer patients. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | gastric cancer, JL-6, IL-6R, PCNA, ELISA, immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
