Studies On The Chemical Constituents Of Ilex Kudingcha

Ilex kudincha C.J.Tsing ,one of the species in the Ilex genus,has been used in China as diuretic and remedy for sore throat, weight loss and hypertension. In this paper, we reported the isolate and the identity of compounds from I.Kudincha. in Hunan.From the leaves of I. Kudincha, 10 compounds were isolated from the leaves, 7 of them were identified. The structures were elucidated by chemical reactions, IR, MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and / also were compared with some authentic samples or standard spectral data or the known compounds reported in the literatures. Those structures are proposed as following: ( I ) Lupeol; ( II ) 3 B -hydroxyl-lup-20 (29) -ene-24-methyl ester; (IV) Ursolic acid; (V) B -Sitosterol; (VI) Lup-20 (29) -ene-3B-, 24-diol; (VII) Daucosterol; (VIII) Mannitol. I, VI,VII,VIII compounds were obtained from genus Ilex for the first.
