| Objective: To study the effects of estrogen and flunarizine on cerebrocellular degeneration , necrosis and apoptosis of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD) in neonatal rats. Method: Select 8-day old newborn wistar rats to establish HIE model, and intraperitoneally or substaneous injected salivia militirrhixae , flunarizine or estrogen, then the rats were killed after hypoxia and ischemia for another 72 hours. The number of cerebrocellular apoptosis , apoptotic rate and apoptotic dense of rats were detected after the brain tissue were stained by TUNEL; The degeneration and necrosis of the brain tissue that were stained by HE, which were measured with quantitative pathological score; and the results were compared among HIE model group, saline group , Tween group , normal group , salivia militirrhixae groups , estrogen groups and flunarizine groups one another. Results: The number of cerebrocellular apoptosis, apoptotic rate , apoptotic dense and the brain tissue quantitative pathological score in HIBD groups were much higher than that in the normal group(p<0.01), no significant different when compared to saline group and Tween group. Those inestrogen groups , flunarizine groups and salivia militirrhixae groups were much lower than that in HIE model group , to wen group and saline group in the number of cerebrocellular apoptosis , apoptotic rate , apoptotic dense (p<0.01). On the second, the quantitative pathological score in HIE model group , Tween group and saline group were much higher than that in estrogen groups , flunarizine prophylaxis group and salivia militirrhixae groups(p<0.01), there were no significant different among flunarizine treated group, HIE model group and Tween group(p>0.05), the score between flunarizine prophylaxis group and flunarizine treated group were significant different(p<0.01). there were no significant different between estrogen groups with the counterpart salivia militirrhixae groups(p>0.05). Conclusion: Estrogen can decrease cerebrocellular degeneration, necrosis and apoptosis have prevention and cure effect on HIE; Flunarizine can decrease cerebrocellular apoptosis have prevention and cure effect on HIE in a rate. |
