Objective: To observe and compare the short-time and middle-time outcome in meniscallesions treated with radiofrequency coblation technology and normally mechanical technology under the arthroscopy, offer the further clinical verification for application of radiofrequency coblation technology and menisci partial excision tinder the arthroscopy in the treatment ofmenisci injury. Methods: In the first place, the standards of fit and rejection were formulated. We selectpatients with menisci injury in hospital in the recent two years, and divide them into radiofrequency group and mechanism group according to the standards. The patients in radiofrequency group were performed with menisci reformation by radiofrequency, while mechanism group were treated with menisci partial excision. We evaluate the short-time and middle-time outcome of menisci reformation by radiofrequency in the treatment of menisci injury objectively by comparison of operation-time,post-operation effusion of joint and improvement on the degrees of flexion and extension, clinical symptoms .functional restoration of knee joint. Results: The average operation-time in radiofrequency group is shorter than that of mechanismgroup apparently.lt is less possible for the radiofrequency group to happen effusion of joint after operation. The improvement on the degrees of flexion and extension and functional restoration of knee joint in the radiofrequency group exceeds in the other group. The excellent and good rate of clinical symptoms after operation is 100% in radiofrequency group. Conclusion:Operative procedure to menisci reformation by radiofrequency is simpler andmore effective than normally mechanical technology under the arthroscopy. The menisci reformation by radiofrequency also leds to less surrouding soft tissue injury and excellent functional restoration of knee joint. As the result,it is superior to common menisci partial excision in the treatment of menisci injury.
