The Treatment Immunity Mechanism Of RA By Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a common auto-immune disease, which may cause joint rigidity ,deformity and functional disorder in late phase and affect patient's life quality seriously .Although the therapy by using western medicine can obtain short-term effect at present, the side effect is high .All these factors interfere with the treatment. In order to develop the quintessence of medical science in the matherland and relieve the patients ailments and social burden, we had prepared a new Chinese Medicine Herb to treat the patients with RA basing stimulating the menstrual flow during amennorhea, promoting diuresis to eliminate dampness, regulating the function of the spleen , reinforcing the kidney, and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis. During study, 30 patients with RA took the drug orally for 12 weeks. We have been exploring a new therapeutic way by observing clinic effect, side effect and changing of IL-1 and TNF- .Methods Taking the new anti-rheumatoid drug: medicine wine 10ml; mixture 20ml and capsule 3 pieces 3 times per day,assisting with blood-circulating and stasis-eliminating treatment, and using an operative nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug for 12 weeks. Do not use adrenal gland cortex hormone. The assay method of TNF- ,Hepatic Cholelic Acid (CG),Blood and Urine P 2-Microglobulin ( 2 -MG) was RIA, which IL-1 was detected by using ELISA. Before and after treating, we observe the duration time of morning stiffness, the number of swelled joint, the number of painful joint and the variety of the joint dysfunction, and Eryth Sedimentation Rate (BSR),CReactive Protein (CRP).Resu 113 In this group, the clinical healing rate was 6.67%, the rate of validity was 90%, the total rate of validity was 96.67%(p<0, 01) . After 12 weeks treatment, the level of IL-1 and TNF- had declined notably (p<0.0l); the level of CG, blood and urine 2 - MG had not changed obviously (p>0.05). Patients' number of painful joint, number of swelled joint, duration time of moining stiffniss, degree of joint dysfunction had been all ameliorated. The assay of the blood ,urine and stool routine showed normal. During term of therapy, skin tickle and gastrointestinal tract response had not happened in the cases. The cases of menses dysfunction are 3.Conclusion Patients with RA need to take anti-rheumatoid, nonsteroided anti-inflammatory drugs and hormone medicine for a long time. These medicines are apt to damage the spleen kidney and stomach, so stimulating the menstrual flow during amennorhea,promotjng diuresis to eliminate dampness,and adjusting the spleen should go through the whole couse of treatment, reinforceing the kidney of later stage, and not harming the body, consolidating the condition. The clinic synthetic analysis shows that the law of regulating the function of the spleen, reinforcing the kidney and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis can alleviate the patients condition by regulating the immunity function. The degree of 2 -MG, CG had not incresed which shows that this treatment treats RA remarkably, and there is no obvious poisonous side effect. So it can be extended to apply widely.
