Application Of Survey Feedback In The Pilot Project On Quality Of Care In Family Planning Conducted In Mouding County

No research to date has focused on the application of techniques and methods of Organization Development (OD) in the field of population and family planning in China. As a part of the Pilot Project on Quality of Care in Family Planning in Mid-West China, this research intends to push forward the project initiated in Mouding County, Yunnan Province through application of Survey Feedback in the Mouding family planning system. This paper explores the application of Survey Feedback in Mouding County through questionnaires and some qualitative methods. The goal of the paper is to examine a model of applying Survey Feedback in the field of population and family planning through describing its application process and analyzing its features of application. The results show: Survey Feedback is a process of learning together; Participation is needed in applying the method; The survey in the method differs from other survey methods in its focus on the process; In the feedback process, two-way communication lessens from county level to village level and the forms of feedback information are different at different levels; The process of applying Survey Feedback is essentially an action research. Some practical suggestions are given to make good use of the method in the real situation.
