Polymophism Of HIV-1 Infection Associated Genes In Dai And Jingpo Nationalities Of Yunnan | | Posted on:2004-03-13 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Qiu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360095956461 | Subject:Obstetrics and gynecology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: To investigate mutant frequencies and polymorphism of HIV-1resistance CCR5-â–³32, CCR2-64I ,SDF1-3'A alleles in jingpo and Dainationalities of Yunnan. Methods: The study population included 101 Dai individuals and 113 Jingpoindividuals. The genotypes were respectively detected by polymerase chainreaction (PCR) or by PCR/RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism)assay. Mutant frequencies were calculated and alleic polymorphism inpopulation of the three genes were analyzed by x2 test. Results: we didn't find CCR5- â–³ 32. The frequency of CCR2-64I was21.0%; and the frequency of SDF1-3'A was 20.03% in Dai nationality. Thefrequency of CCR2-64I was 16.37%; and the frequency of SDF1-3'A was17.70% in Jingpo nationality. The frequencies of SDF1-3'A were both lowerthan Han nationality (P<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with Han nationality, Dai and Jingpo nationality ofYunnan might have a higher genetic susceptibility to HIV-1 (include R5 and X4strains) since we didn't find CCR5-â–³ 32 and the frequency of SDF1-3'A wasmuch lower than that of Han nationality. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | HIV-1 coreceptor, gene mutant, Polymorphism, allele frequency | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
