Comparative Study On The Pharmacological Action And Safety Between Lonicera Macrathodes Hands Mazz.. And The Certified Flos Lonicera

L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz is a regional produce as Flos Lonicera's commodity drug in Hunan province. Flos Lonicera, according to clinical effects and regional habit of using medicine in CP-2000,comes from the dried flower bud or newly-burst flower of Lonicera japonica Thunb., L.hypoglauca Miq., L.confusa DC and L.dasyslyla Rehd. It is collected before booming in summer . The thesis compares pharmacology effects between these two kinds of drugs from L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. and Lonicera japonica Thunb. To observe antibacterial effects measured by disc method and tube dilution method; the effects on mouse infected by staphylococcus aurens; to study the antipyretic effects on rat which fever induced by s. cerevisiae and compared the result of acute toxicity test. The result shows that L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. And certified Flos Lonicera have similar antibacterial spectrum.. they have the most significant effect to inhibit and kill S. aureus and β-steptococcus and less effect to Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhosa and Shigella dysenteriae. The effect to proteus spp. is the weakest. It is can be measured which is the MBC (minimal bactericidal concentration) of commodity Ji Fos Lonicera's decoction toβ-steptococcus, Escherichia coli ,Salmonella typhosa and Shigella dysenteriae and proteus spp. But the MBC of the decoction from all L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. can be measured. The MIC (minimal inhibitory concentration) of drugs is lower than the MBC. The first rank of antibacterial effect is new Longhui and Longhui L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. The second is Xinning's L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. and commodity Ji Flos Lonicera. The end is Mi Flos Lonicera and Ji Flos Lonicera. The decoction of certified Flos Lonicera and L.macranthodes Hand-Mazz. has more significant effect than the maceration to inhibit and kill bacteria.
