Clinical Observation On Massaging The Point Along The Liver Meridian With Ganjujing Oil To Treat Melancholia

Objective: To explove into the clinical curative effect of massaging the points along the Liver Meridian with Ganjujing Oil to treat melancholia. Methods: Massaging the points from Dadun to Ququan along the Liver Meridian with Ganjuing Oil, the changes were observed through evaluation of HDRS and ZUNG Charts. Results: 1．In the Liver Meridian group, Baihui-Taiyang group and Western medicine group, HDRS score was lower than that before trentment. From the 8th week, there was obvious different among the Liver Meridian group, Baihui-Taiyang group and western medicine group. The effect of HDRS of the Liver Meridian group and Baihui-Taiyang group was superior than that in the western medicine group. The HDRS score of the Liver Meridian group and Baihui-Taiyang group kept going down from the first 4 weeks to the third 4 weeks, While the HDRS score of the western medicine group tended to be stable.2．The ZUNG score of all the three groups began to decline from the second week, which were lower than that before treatment. However the ZUNG score of the Liver Meridian and Baihui-Taiyang group from the first to the third month kept going down, but the score of Western medicine group tended to be stable.Conclusion: All the three groups had a good effect to treat melancholia. The effect was obtain quickly in the wester medicine group than that in the Liver Meridian group and Baihui-Taiyang group, while the effect in the two later groups lasted longer.
