| To study the biocompatibility of AUSI stainless steel and ferrite stainless steel which wrap magnetic retainer, evaluate the carcinogenicity and mutagenici-ty of the two materials at the point of toxicity. At the same time, compare the toxicity of the two materials to select a better material which wrap the magnetic retainer. Provide theoretical and practical basis for exploiting new product.MethodsImmerse the two special stainless steel into 0. 154M NaCl medium according to 1. 3 ml NaCl liquid per square centimeter after casting each mental material into the body of 5 mm x 5 mm x 1mm. Bring them up at the temperature of 37C for five days. Selected 88 healthy Kunming small white rats which weigh 18 - 22g and put them into 11 groups at freedom. Three groups for acute systemic toxicity test, the other eight groups for micronuleus ( MN) test. In the first test, the two original mental liquids and NaCl liquid were injected into the abdomen of the rats. Then the die cases of rats were reported in one week.In the micronucleus test, the negative and the positive compare groups were injected with 0. 154M NaCl solution and cyclophosphamide solution respectively. The two test - groups were used with original solution and the solutions which were diluted for two and four times. Taking 30 hours - test, mixed breastbone marrow with little serum and made them into samples. Figured out the micronucleus rates of PCE with double blind method under oil lens after fixing up and dying the samples. All results were analyzed with SPSS soft ware package.Results1. Observing the original liquids with naked eye, the two original liquids were clarity which have no color change, no deposit, they were the same as NaCl liquid from appearance.2. There were no significant difference between test groups and negative group in the acute systemic toxicity test (P >0.05) .3. The micronucleus rates of PCE of all groups were significantly different by the statistical analyses ( P <0.01). The difference of the MN rates of PEC between the test groups and the negative group was not significant ( P >0. 008) ; but the difference of the test groups and the positive group were apparently different. (P< 0.008 ).}Conclusion1. Magnetic retainer have great potential development.2. AUSI stainless steel and Fe stainless steel could be used as the wrapping materials to prevent magnetic retainer from corrosion.3. As the wrapping materials of magnetic retainer, AUSI stainless steel and Fe stainless steel have no toxicity at the point of acute systemic toxicity test and micronulues test. The two special stainless steels have no toxicity as rats as concerned. |
