Methods 87 cases of early and advanced stage gastric carcinoma, who underwent surgical resection between Jan. 1997 and Dec.2002 at the people's hospital in Lu An city and the Ma Gang hospital, were followed up. The pathologic diagnoses were renewed in Anhui medical university. Expression of TpR II and COX-2 and MVD were examined by S-P immunohistochemistry in gastric carcinoma and control groups. The relationship of TRII and COX-2 and MVD with clinicopathologic factors and prognosis were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 version software. Results 15 atypical hyperplasia, 30 the early stage, 13 the metaphase ,20 the late phase gastric carcinoma cases were diagnosed. There were obvious difference between the two class hospitals (P<0.01) . The value of MVD were obvious difference between the atypical hyperplasia and the early stage gastric carcinoma (P<0.01) ,the different stages gastric carcinoma(P<0.01) and lymph node metastasis and non-metastasis (P<0.05) . Expression of TRII in the group of cancer were obviously difference between early stage gastric carcinoma and the atypical hyperplasia (P<0.05),early-middle and the late stages gastric carcinoma (P<0.01) ,the different infiltrate depth (P<0.05) and lymph node metastasis and non-metastasis (.P<0.001) . Expression of COX-2 were obviously difference between the early stage gastric carcinoma and the non- carcinoma(P<0.01), early stage, middle stage and the late stagegastric carcinoma (P<0.01) . The different expression of TβRⅡ (P<0.05) ,COX-2(P<0.01) were significantly associated with MVD levels. Cox Regression analysisindicated TβRⅡ and MVD were worthy of gastric carcinoma prognosis. Conclusions. At present the diagnostic rate of early stage gastric carcinoma was lower and the rate ofdissension of pathologic diagnoses were higher than that in prior hospital. MVD and theexpression of COX-2 were higher in gastric carcinoma than that in non-carcinoma, theexpression of TβR Ⅱ lower. The correlation were found between the expression of TPRⅡ and COX-2 and MVD. TβRⅡ, COX-2 and MVD were significant for themetastases ,invasion and prognosis of the gastric carcinoma . MVD and TβRⅡ wereclosely relative to post-operation survival rate and were prognosis index of gastriccarcinoma. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Gastric Neoplasm, Transforming Growth Factor Beta Receptor, Cyclooxygenase-2, Microvessel Density, Prognosis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
