The thesis consisted of two sections, and every section has two chapters.The first one is focused on the ytterbium triflate promoted organic reactions and their applications in organic synthesis. In section two, the preparation of clorsulon was studied.Part one:In the first chapter, we simply introduce the application of ytterbium triflate in organic synthesis in recent years. My text of the thesis is in the second chapter. It includes two aspects: (1) The cyclizing of hydrazonyl chlorides with niriles promoted by ytterbium triflate were studied, and 1H-1, 2, 4- trizaoles were prepared in good yields under mild conditions. (2) The cyclizing of hydrazonyl chlorides promoted by ytterbium triflate were investigated, and the tetrazines were prepared in good yields under mild conditions. Ytterbium triflate can recovered from the aqueous solution and reused without loss of activity.Part two:In the first chapter, the preparation of clorsulon was reviewed. In chapter two, we selected an simple and easy synthetic route to synthesize clorsulon successfully. Using m-nitrobenzene aldehyde as the raw material, by the reaction of condensation, chlorization, elimination, reduction, chlorsulfonation and amination, the desired product was obtained in good yield. The total yield is increased from 20% to 30%.
