Objective: To explore effect of TBF on preventatively regulating blood lipids and blood fluidity ,and its toxicological safety assessment as a healthy food. Methods: Acute toxicity test, 30 days feeding test and teratogenicity test were carried out to judge the general toxicity and embryotoxicity of TBF. Ames test , micronucle test of bone marrow cell as well as chromosome aberration test in mice were used to detect the genetic toxicity. The rats were respectively fed with TBF(0.06g/kg.bw,0.12 g/kg.bw, 0.24g/kg.bw)to detect effects of TBF on preventatively regulating blood lipids and blood fluidity. Results: No toxicities, teratogenicity and mutagenicity were founded during the tests in above .The data showed that TBF could reduce the levers of triglyceride(TG), T-cholesterol(TC) and Low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) in serum and increase the lever of high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C) and reduce blood viscosity and blood plasma viscosity in three TBF groups by comparison with model rats . Meanwhile, there were obvious dose –response relationships in three TBF groups. Conclusion: The results show that TBF preventatively regulate blood lipids and blood fluidity and serve as safety and healthy food.
