Children s diarrhea is a frequently encountered disease of digestive tract in children. The disease occurrences in all the years and it harm severely new born child and infant health. So WHO puts the regulation of the diarrhea as the global strategy and it is also one of the "four diseases" which need to emphasized prevention and cure in Chinese pediatrics. . Now there are no effective therapy for noninfectious diarrhea and human rotavirus enteritis in western medicine. But traditional Chinese medicine treatment, such as acupuncture and massage, is superiority to western medicine in treating children' s diarrhea and worthwhile spreading.I observed 120 infantile diarrhea cases, 80 of them were treated by acupuncture and massage, which is therapy group. The others is control group, which were treated by taken Smecta. Both of the groups were observed for 3 or 6 days. Before and after treatment, all the cases have laboratory examination of blood routine, dejecta routine, urine routine, rotavirus' s antigen. At the same time, I observed symptoms including dejecta' s character, degree, and whether dehydration or not. The lab data between pre-treatment and post-treatment were significant difference in the therapy group (P<0.01), were also significant difference between therapy aid control groups (P<0. 05).The results of the clinical observation are that in the therapy group there are 74 cases taking recover, (92.5%) ,4 cases taking marked effect, (5%) ,0 cases taking effect, (0%) , 2 cases taking no effect, (2.5%) .The total effect rate is 97.5%.TCM regards that all diarrheas are due to spleen and stomach deficiency or wet. I reinforce spleen and clean small intestine to reduce wet. So we get the conclusion that acupuncture and massage are effective.
