Clinical Study On Treating Severe Aplastic Anemia(SAA) By The Way Of Tonifying The Kidney, Qi And Blood Assort With Androgen

This study is under the guidance of Chinese medicine theory to observe the clinical curative effect of treating severe aplastic anemia by the way of Tonifying the kidney, qi and blood assort with androgen. We conclude the curative effect of the decoction, discuss foe pathogenesis of "the origin is impairment of the kidney, deficiency of qi and blood is the incidental." during the proceeding of severe aplastic anemia and validate the correctness of the principle that "Tonifying the kidney, qi and blood". With these, we form the basic theory on treating SAA with traditional Chinese medicine.The thesis mainly includes two parts: the study on theory, the literature summarizing and the clinical study.The literature summarizing also includes 2 parts. The first part is about the present study on SAA by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) , it concludes general introduction, the cause and pathogenesis, pure TCM therapy and combining Chinese and modem medical study. The second part reviews the modem clinical study on SAA. it introduces the concept, treatment and some problems in modem clinical study.In the clinical study part, 33 SAA patients, since1986, from Hematology Department of Dong2himen and Dongfang Hospital affiliated Beijing University of Chinese Medicine(BUCM) were observed They were treated by this therapy. To observe the change of hemogram, megakaryocyte, platelet and Clinical symptoms scoring after six months. 17 patients were observed from 2-10 years. The results show that such decoction can not only lower the rate of blood transfusion and improve hematopoiesis symptoms, but also increase blood formation counting. It is entirely safe as well.Through this study, we confirmed the effect of increasing blood formation of SAA patient of the decoction mentioned above, raised the hypothesis of the "the origin is impairment of the kidney, deficiency of qi and blood is the incidental" in SAA patients, and discussed the treatment principle of "supplying qi and blood as soon as tonifying the kidney". The exact mechanism still need further discuss.
