Objective: To elucidate the Relationship between the expression of Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and the density of dendritic cells (DCs),T lymphocytes Immunity in tumor microinviroment of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC).Methods : 67 LSCC were investigated by immunohistochemical studies with anti-VEGF ,anti-s100,anti-CD3 antibodies.Result: An intensive VEGF expression was assotiated with higher clinical stage and lower density of DC & T lymphocytes. There was a significant negative correlation between the density of DCs and the expression of VEGF in LSCC.Conclusion : LSCC can over-express VEGF . VEGF is not only important for tumor vascularization ,growth and metastasis, but is also a key factor to inhibit DC differentiation and maturation to evade host immune surveillance.
