Objective :The congenital heart disease( CHD) is a kind of common inborn abnormity, its attack rate is about 7 ~ 8 ‰ .Along with the economic development and increase of people's living standard in our country year by year, the age of the infant to see doctors for surgical treatment of CHD become younger and younger. In the whole country, the treatment capacity for CHD still far can't satisfy the social need. The infant surgical treatment of CHD in our country started from 70's.The surgical number has increased quickly in last 10 years, and occupied bigger and bigger ratio in all surgical patients of CHD.The age for surgical operations is gradually young, the weight is gradually light, but the complications in infant are far more than that in the elder children. The infection is one of main complications. After operation, the lower immunity function is easy to cause the infection, often making surgical operations fail. After heart operations with cardiopulmonary bypass, the immune function of the patient decreases obviously. This decrease of immunity function can be resulted in by various reasons. The heart-lung machine squeezes directly the immunocyte and the reperfusion after ischemia can cause large quantity of free radicals, which all can result in the function harm of cell and tissue. They all attract the attention of people. But the nourishment condition undergoing surgery is also a factor not to be neglected, especially in infant. Although the decrease in the immunity function with cardiopulmonary bypass can't avoid, how to make the recovery of immunity function as soon as possible and strengthen infant's resistance against microorganism for disease, from encountering the possibility of serious infection, may be an one of the successful keys in surgical operation in heart. Methods: Fifty patients undertaking cardiopulmonary bypass were randomly divided into two groups: experiment group and control group, 25 cases in each group. Experiment group took CoQ10 (i.m., 0.5mg/Kg/d) and parenteral nutrition injection (i.v., 10ml/kg/d) from 3 days before to 5 days after operation; control group took nothing. TNF, PA and T Lymphocyte subsets (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+) were measured with immunological methods .All data from the checked samples is expressed by X±S, Proceeding paired t test and group control t test.P<0.05 mean the significance, P<0.01 mean the high significance. Results: All targets in experiment group were changed more lightly than those in control group. The peaks statistically moved to the second day after operation and returned to normal in the third day. The peaks in control group, however, were in the third day and still had statistically means 7 day after operation. Conclusion: It is suggested that combined application of CoQ10 and Parenteral Nutrition Injection can improve the immunity in patients and shorted the time of recovery.
