Effects Of Xinnao Xikang With Captopril On The Treatment Of Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (Yang Hyperacitivity Due To Yin Vacuity With Phlegm And Blood Stasis Type) In Hypertention

Objective: To study the influence of Xinnao Xikang with Captopril on the clinical symptoms, blood pressure, the relate indexs of the left ventricular hypertrophy (Yang Hyperacitivity due to Yin vacuity with phlegm and blood stasis type) and of the cardiac function of patients suffering from left ventricular hypertrophy. Method: Fifty seven cases were randomly divided into the treatment group (31 cases) and the control group (26 cases). Patients in the treatment group were given Xinnao Xikang capsules and Captopril for 24 weeks,and patients in the control group were given Captopril for 24 weeks .We observed the changes of clinical symptoms , BP and relate indexs of the left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH) and of the cardiac function. Results:(l)After therapy, the two groups can all alleviate the clinical symptoms, and the treatment group were superior to the control group.(2)After therapy, the level of BP, LAD, IVST, LVPWT, LVDd, LVM, LVMI all fell in both groups.But the improvement of these indexs in the treatment group are superior to those in the control group. Conclusions: Xinnao Xikang with Captopril can alleviate clinical symptoms of LVH(Yang Hyperacitivity due to Yin vacuity with phlegm and blood stasis type), and have the effects on reduction of BP and on the regression of LVH.The therapeutic effects of Xinnao Xikang with Captopril were superior to the effects of Captopril.
