This study observes the effects of remifentanil administered as an intravenous infusion in combined spinal-epidural anesthesia (CSEA) for cesarean section on the parturient and neonate. Methods: Sixty healthy parturients undergoing elective cesarean section with CSEA were randomly designed into three groups, each group 20 patients. Group C (control group) received saline intravenously. Group R1 received 0.05μg·kg-1·min-1 remifentanil intravenously, and group R2 received 0.1μg·kg-1·min-1 remifentanil intravenously.
