| Lines of evidence suggest that COX-2 and VEGF are involved in the steps of carcinogenesis as they contribute to neovascularization. Recent studies show that increased expression of them are frequently found in human cancers (including gastric, esophageal, and colonic cancer,et al) and indicate a poor prognosis.But it is just on the primary research in our country. We studied the expression of COX-2 and VEGF in tissues of patients with lung cancer and compared their expression with their prognosis.Objectives: Aim to measure the expression of COX-2 and VEGF in tissues of patients with lung cancer and study the relationship between the expression and the prognosis of lung cancer patients.Methods:Expression of COX-2 and VEGF in specimens of 126 lung cancer patients were evaluated by tissue chip and immunohistochemical methods. The relationships between the COX-2 and VEGF's expression and the biological behavior of lung cancer were analyzed by retrospective cohort study. |
