[Objective] To study the expression of VEGF of begnign and malignant thyroid neoplasms and discuss the clinical significance of the angiogenesis and microvessel density count. To investigate the relationship between microvessel count in thyroid carcinomas and metastasis and prognosis.[Methods] To detect the expression of VEGF and MVD in 11 case of normal thyroid tissue ,13case of thyroid adenoma ,17case of nodular goiter,29 case of papillary thyroid carcinoma, 12 case of follicular thyroid carcinoma ,10 case of medullary carcinoma and 8 case of undifferentiated carcinoma by The SP immunohistochemical method. The chisq test, student t test, spearman rank correlation test were used for tata statistic analysis.[ Result ] 1. Expression of VEGF and MVD of begnign and malignant thyroid neoplasms were significantly higher than those of normal thyroid tissue (P<0.05). Expression of VEGF and MVD of thyroid carcinoma were significantly higher than those of begnign thyroid neoplasms (P<0.05). Expression of VEGF and MVD of undifferentiated carcinoma were...
