| Objective: To evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the sacroiliacjoint in the early diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: 74 patients with ankylosing spondylitis were detected with CTand MRI of the sacroiliac joints within a week, of them, 8 patients receivedcontrast magnetic resonance imaging, 10 volunteers were examinated withpre-contrast MRI as the control group. T1-weighed spin echo, Proton DensityWeighting, 3D-Fast Low-Angle Shot, short time inversion recovery (STIR)sequence was performed in the coronal plane. Results: The MRI diagnosis was accordant with CT for grade â…¢ and â…£sacroilities, but it was not for grade 0-â…¡. The DMRI in sacroiliac joint (SIJ) wascorrelated to the degree of inflammation. Conclusion: MRI can early display the abnormality of sacroiliac joint, andcan be used to identify sacroiliitis early than CT... |
