Preventive And Treating Effects Of GNI On The Experimental Osteoporosis Rats Established By Glucocorticoid

Objective:To investigate the prophylaxis effect of gengnianI(GNI) on glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in rats by measuring biochemical markers and histomorphologic measurement.Methods:80 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group,control group,GNI group and estrogen group, 20, 20, 25, 15 each group. The rats in control , GNI and estrogen groups were given Dexamethasone (0.1mg/kg),twice one week,up to 5 weeks, and the rats in GNI and estrogen groups were administrated GNI and estrogen respectively frombaseline,and the rats in control and normal groups were given NS frombaseline.The rats were killed after 17 weeks to measure biochemical markers, take weight measurement and weigh uterus,and then observe microscopic structure of bone and uterus.Results: weight were similar in all groups,uterus weight in the control group was lower than that in other three groups(p<0.05);the levels of the serum calcium and phosphate didn't show significantly difference among all groups;serum level of ALP was higher in the control group than in the normal group(p<0.05),and the marker in the GNI and estrogen groups were statistically significantly lower than those in the control group; serum level of E2 was lower in the control group than in the normal group(p<0.05),and it in the GNI and estrogen groups were statistically higher than those in the control group, the level of E2 didn't show significantly difference among the GNI , estrogen and the normal groups;and the parameters of bone mass and bone formation decreased significantly in the control group than in the normal group (p<0.05),and such parameters in the GNI and estrogen groups increased statistically than those in the control group,but the BFR/TV parameter not...
