| Objectives To study the relation of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) and renal dysfunction .Methods Analyzing of patient age, prostatic volume. residenal urine. and PSA in 1024 consecutive patients secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) with Independent Sample T test. Results An elevated serum creatinine level was noted in 19.4%(199 of 1024)of evaluable patients.Compared to the other patients who have normal leval creatinine ,The statistical significances were observed among patient age, prostatic volume. residenal urine. and PSA between two groups .Conclusion Renal dysfunction is correlative with patients age, prostatic volume, residenal urine and PSA.Renal dysfunction do occur clinically in some BPH patients. |
