| Objective: In order to explore the degree and regulation of perioperative myocardial injury, and provide the scientific basic for anaesthesia, operation safety and cardiac protection in the cancer patients. Investigate the continuous changes of serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI) level, creatine kinase (CK) and isoenzymes of creatine kinase (CKMB) activities in cancer patients after adjuvant chemotherapy before surgery and experienced epidural and general anaesthesia methods.Methods: Fifty-five cases in abdominal and pelvis cancer patients with ASA grade 1 to 2, were analysed. Twenty-seven patients have received some chemotherapy methods by venous injection, and twenty-eight patients didn't received any chemotherapy methods before anaesthesia and operation. They were divided into 4 groups according to different anaesthesia and whether received chemotherapy methods: 13 cases in group A1 (chemotherapy and general anaesthesia); 14 cases in group A2 (general anaesthesia only); 14 cases in group B1 (chemotherapy and epidural anaesthesia); 14 cases in group B2 (epidural anaesthesia only ) .Serum cTnI, CK and CKMB were determined in all patients. Four ml peripheral blood was took from following respectively: (1) Group A1 and B1: before chemotherapy (C1) , on the third day after chemotherapy (C2) , before anaesthesia (C3) ,1 hour after anaesthesia (C4) , after surgery (C5) , the first day postoperative (C6) , the third day postoperative (C7) , the seventh day postoperative (C8); (2) Group A2 and B2: before anaesthesia (N3), 1 hour after anaesthesia (N4 ) , after surgery (N5), the first day postoperative (N6), the third day postoperative ( N7), the seventh day postoperative (N8). Serum cTnI level was assay in ABBOTT AxSYM automatic immunity analyse machine with MEIA method. CK and CKMB were assay in HITACHI model 7170 automatic biochemistrical analyse machine with colonmetry.
