| Objective: To evaluate the effect of Cordyceps Sinensis extractant on cisplatin -induced nephrotoxicity and explore its possible mechanisms in rats. Methods: A rat model of cisplatin nephrotoxicity was established by injection of cisplatin(7mg/kg ip) on day 7 after injection of S180 tumor on day l.The rats were randomly divided into five groups: control, DDP,DDP+ Cordyceps Sinensis extractant(10mg/kg/d), DDP+ Cordyceps Sinensis extractant(20mg/kg/d) given on day 1, DDP+ Cordyceps Sinensis extractant(20mg/kg/d) given on day 8.Then the rats were killed on day 14 and 21. Nephrotoxicity was assessed by measurements of the tubular function,glomerular function and renal morphology. Results: DDP induced urinary excretion of N-aceto-beta-amino-glucosidase(NAG) Scr, and BUN levels were observed, markedly decreased after the treatment of Cordyceps Sinensis extractant. Meanwhile,. Cordyceps Sinensis extractant downregulated the expression of connective tissue growth factor(CTGF).ConcIusion: Cordyceps Sinensis extractant can attenuate the structural and functional changes of kidney in cisplatin -induced nephrotoxicity rats. |
