The seed oil of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch was extracted by SFE-C02 and determined its best art. The chemical components were separated and identified by GC-MS and the residue after extraction of oil was used as material for the extraction of flavonoids. We identified 16 volatile constituents from this species for the first time, which were mainly Dibutyl phthalate and alkane; and identified 5 fatty acid after methylation of which 9, 12-0ctadecad.i enoic acid(Z, Z) and 9,12,15-Octadecatrienoic acid accounted for 24.3% and 25.51% of the relative content respectively. That indicates that the seed of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is of important value for study. The volatile oil of stem and leaf of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch was obtained by steam distillation. The chemical components were separated and identified by GOMS and identified 41 volatile constituents from this species for the first time, of which were mainly terpene and polycyclophane and this provides foundation for further medical study. Using SFE-CO2 for the extraction of flavonoids of different aerial parts of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch with ethanol as cosolventshowed, the results showed that, leaf>seed residue after oil extraction>stem, and the flavonoid content in leaf reached 2.78%. This provides scientific material for further development and utilization of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.
