Study Of The Method Relieving Dental Sensitivity Of The Vital Pulp Teeth After Crown Preparation

Purpose: To investigate the results of Green Or for relieving the dentinsensitivity of the vital pulp teeth after crown preparation.Methods: (1) 201 teeth after crown preparation in 153 patients were dividedinto two groups randomly .In group A (testing group): the dentin surfacewas treated by Green Or ,and in Group B (control group): the dentin surfacewas not treated by anything. The temporary crowns were cemented with zincoxide cement. The patients were recalled for a VAS test of sensitivity ofthe prepared teeth after 1 day,14 days and 28 days of the preparation.(2) The surface and longitudinal section of dentin,which treated by GreenOr, were observed under SEM and compared with the normal dentin.Results: The clinical result of the testing group was better than that ofthe control group (P<0. 05) .The results of SEM investigations showed thatthe dentinal tubules of the treated dentinal surface were obstructed bycrystalline. The observations on longitudinal section of the treated dentinshowed that nothing was found in the dentinal tubules.Conclusions: Green Or has good effect on reliving the dentin sensitivityof the vital pulp teeth by sealing dentinal tubules.
