Objective To investigate the relationship between tumor microvessel density and VEGF, VIP status and the Colonic tumor angiogensis , invasion and metastasis .So we can come into investigate the roles and clinical significance of VEGF and VIP in the course of the carcinogenesis. Methods Use light microscope, Verhoff hematoxylin and immunohistochemistry to view the vascular endothelial cells, glandular cells of 10 cases of normal colonic tissue, 90 cases of colonic carcinoma.Result 1 , VEGF are positive in colonic carcinoma :Dark-dyed great grains can be observed , arranging abnormitly ,the density are rather than that in normal colonic tissue .The expression of VEGF are distributed in margin of the attacked tumor and the around of the necrotissue .Only few samples can be fully dyed .2, The expression of MVD in colonic tumor: The microvessel are dyed to palm-red, mainly distributed around the margin of the cancerrange.3 , The expression of VIP: VIP are ambly-positive in the normal colonic tissue, but are positive in colonic carcinoma.4, The relationship of VEGF, VIP and the transfer of the tumor: The expression of VEGF, VIP and microvessel density(MVD) in transfer-group is significantly higher than that in non-transfer-group.The intensity of expression of VEGF have positive correlation with microvessel density. Conclusion 1, The histology of colonic carcinoma is different from normal colonic tissue.2, Microvessel density and VEGF expression in colonic tumor are highly correlated with the depth of tumor invasion and lymph node metastasis ,which may serve as a parameter for determining colonic metastasis.3, VIP immunologically competent endocrine cells can reside and express in colonic tissue, So we can use VEGF and VIP to determine the benign or malignant colonic carcinoma and metastasis hazard.4 , The expression of VEGF and VIP change from low to high in the process from normal colonic tissue to colonic carcinoma.
