In this study, we analyzed the level of HBV transcription, the pattern of HBV protein expression and pathologic changes in liver in the transgenic mouse line C57-TgN (HBVadr2.0) SMMU 3 developmentally. We also investigated the liver injury was induced by humoral immunity. Through the study, we conclude that the expression of HBsAg and HBcAg in liver in this mouse line is persistent and stable. No correlation was detected between protein expression and transcription level of HBsAg in same mice at same development time. There is no obvious difference in the HBsAg and HBcAg expression in liver between male and female in the transgenic mice. It's shown chronic lesion in liver as chronic asymptomatic HBV carrier and there was no parallel relation between hepatocyte damage and expression of virus proteins in these mice. Liver injury was induced by the humoral immune reaction in the transgenic mice, but the damage was so slight that the mice can self-cure. The level of ALT and AST had no obvious difference between normal and transgenic mice. The biological Characteristics of C57-TgN (HBVadr2.0) SMMU 3 transgenic mice is better to be a laboratory animal model which can be used in the study of relationship between HBV and it's host and evaluating the security of HBV anti-virus drugs and vaccine.
