The Relationship Between Resistin And MA In The Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

ObjectiveResistin one kind of polymorphism hormone, which is secreted by mouse ad-ipocyte , was firstly reported by Steppan in 2001 ,and in his animal test, resistin is associated with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. There are also some tests in human body manifest that resistin is probably the key which links the central obesity and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The object of this test is to try to find out the relationship between resistin and Micro - Albuminuria (MA).Method90 cases was enrolled in this study. 60 of them was study group,which were suffering from T2DM,30 of them was control group,which were non - Diabetes Mellitus. These study subjects were respectively subgrouped by UAER, namely 30 of them are with MA and 30 of them are with mornal UAER. Diabetes diagnostic criterion accord to the standerd of 1999 WHO diabetes diagnostic criterion;MA diagnostic criterion is UAER between 20 - 200μg/min, normal UAER diagnostic criterion is UAER <20μg/min. Fasting serum resistin concentration was measured by enzyme - linked immunnosorbent assay (ELISA). We also acquired the date of body mass index (BMI) , waist hip rate (WHR) , blood pressure , fasting plasma glucose (FPG) , fasting blood insulin (FINS) , haemoglobinA_1C (HbA_1C) , total cholesterol (TC) , total triglyceridemia (TG) , high density lipo-protein (HDL - C) , low density lipoprotein (LDL - C) and calculated the HO-MA - IR according to the FPG and FINS. At the same time ,We make the group of subjects suffering from T2DM with MA matching to the group of subjects suffering from T2DM with normal UAER in BMI,WHR,blood pressure ,sex,age,and the course of diseases , the T2DM group which was constituted by T2DM with MA and T2DM with normal UAER was matched to the control group in BMI^WHR^blood pressure^sex and age.ResultIn patients with T2DM,fasting serum resistin concentration was higher than that of the subjects with non - T2DM;In the T2DM patients with MA, the resistin concentration was higher than that of the T2DM patients with normal UAER,the differences was significant respectively (P<0.05). In the correlation analysis , we found that there were correlation between fasting serum resistin level and BMI, WHR ,blood pressure, FPG , FINS , HOMA-IR,TC , TG , HDL-C of woman , but in the farther correlate analysis , we found that there are no correlation between fasting serum resistin level and blood pressure .ConclusionThere are positive correlation between the fasting serum resistin level and MA in the patients with T2DM.
