Correlated Study Of Galectin-3, CK19 Expression In The Thyroid Cancer

Objective: This study is to measure expression of Galectin-3, CK19 in specimens taken from the benign or malignant disease of thyroid gland. Studing the value of Combination detection with Galectin-3, CK19 in distinguishing the benign or malignant disease of thyroid gland. Methods: (1)Immunohistochemistry (SP method ) was employed in this study to detect the expression of Galectin-3, CK19 in the benign or malignant disease of thyroid gland. (2)Measure the expression of galectin-3 mRNA in the benign or malignant disease and lateral tissue of thyroid gland,following on statistics analysis. Results: (1) Expression of Galectin-3 was positive in 27 of 30 cases of thyroid carcinoma,the rate was 90%,the positive rate of benign disease is 15.79%,Compare between the benign or malignant disease of thyroid gland pathologically, the difference was high significance (P<0.05).
