The Study On Polysaccharides From Ranunculus Ternatus Thunb.

Ranunculus ternatus Thunb. which is recoreded in handbook of Chinese medicine for the first time, is one of Chinese traditional drugs with the function of detoxifcation and curing tuberculosis, pharyngitis, and so on. Ranunculus ternatus Thunb.is distributed extensively in our country, especially in Henan province, and its resource is abundant. As polysaccharide has many pharmacologiacal activities with no poisonous effect, it has been applied to clinical side and the market of health products widely. In this paper, polysaccharides of Ranunculus ternatus Thunb.were studied as our object because there are a few reports on polysaccharide from Ranunculus ternatus Thunb.. There are two parts in this thesis:Part one: Review1. Chemical component and pharmacological activities of Ranunculus ternatus Thunb. are included. Kinds of chemical components have been found in the Ranunculus ternatus Thunb., including essential oils, lactones, sterol.s, unsaturated fatty acids, inorganic elements, polysaccharides and so on. The studies on the pharmacological activities of Ranunculus ternatus Thunb.axe widely involved in the phthisis, neckscrofula, faucitis, lymphatic cancer, hypothyroid cancer and galactophore cancer.2. There are three parts in the research advancements of polysaccharides: a review on the situation of the pharmacological activities of polysaccharides, the latest analytic methods on polysaccharides, the application and the development direction of the studies on polysaccharides.Part two: Research papersIn this part, four departments are involved.Firstly, the sample was defatted with petroleum ether, then the water-soluble polysaccharides was extracted with boiling water from the sediment and precipitated with 80%(v/v) of ethanol. The crude polysaccharide of Ranunculus ternatus Thunb. is offwhite. Compounds with small molecular weight were removed with dialyser.
