| Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world. HCC treatment is palliative, and the prognosis of HCC is poor. The HCC development have multiform pathogeny and phase. Many different kinds of genes are possibly involved in the initiation and progression of human HCC, such as tumor suppression gene mutation and deletion, oncogene, DNA repair genes abnormal amplification and expression, but which genes were differentially expressed and how it work in HCC were not known. Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is strongly associated with the development of cirrhosis and HCC. Both chronic HBV infection and HBV related cirrhosis are important risk factors for HCC. Chronic HBV infection is very prevalent in China. It is hypothesized that HBV integrates into the host genome and alters the expression of cellular genes, thereby triggering the neoplastic transformation of the infected liver cells. So it is necessary to study gene expression profiles in HBV related cirrhosis and HCC. which will provide a better methods for prevention, diagnosis and therapy of HCC. Gene chip is a small analytical device that an orderly arrangement of ten to hundreds of thousands of unique DNA molecules( probes) of known sequence. Either each unique probe is individually synthesized on a rigid surface (usually glass), or pre-synthesized probes (oligonucleotides or PCR products) are attached to the array platform(usually glass or nylon membranes), oligonucleotide microarray is the former. Microarray analysis is based on standard molecular biology, with a principal advantage being higher throughput, higher binding specificity, higher-speed and greater... |
